Full in Planned Classes for 2024 - 2025 school year
For the 2024 - 2025 school year, Norwood School is full in planned classes from Kindergarten to Grade 6 in the regular program. A Kindergarten student who is a resident and lives in the school's attendance area may still register. We will only accept resident students in Grades 1 to 6 whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance area for the regular program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.
If you are registering for Kindergarten or are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.
Welcome to the Norwood School Family!
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year at Norwood School! We are so very excited to have you be a part of our Norwoodian community and are looking forward to getting to know you and your children over the coming months.
For over a century, Norwood has proudly served the students and families of Edmonton’s City Centre. Our dedicated staff continues to uphold this tradition by working collaboratively with students, families and the community.
As a school staff we are committed to delivering engaging instruction, maximizing student achievement and ensuring all students are provided the necessary supports to attain success.
We provide our students with high quality opportunities to cultivate leadership skills, foster school spirit, understand our high standards for student conduct and contribute positively to both the school and greater community. We believe in building kind and caring relationships and supporting students as they acquire the skills necessary to become ethical and engaged citizens who are passionate about participating in and contributing to the world around them.
Norwood staff believe that student success is a shared responsibility between school, parents and the community. We are fortunate to have a number of community partners who support the artistic, academic, physical, social and emotional growth of our students. We look forward to working with all of our partners to ensure our students reach their full potential.
At Norwood, we strive to create a “vibrant & flourishing school community which promotes a culture of empowered, expressive and joyful learners”. We anticipate a year full of positive relationships and rich learning experiences. The staff at Norwood are excited to work alongside your child as they continue to learn, grow, discover and explore; Together is Better!
